Beatrice was born in Calumet, Michigan to her parents Joseph Williams (born in England) and Clara Beatrice Williams (also born in England).
On December 14, 1917, Beatrice married Thomas Looser in Ogden, Utah. He was a carpenter and worked for the Nevada Mine Division of the Kennecott Copper Corp. Her brother James was a locomotive engineer for the NMD and her brother Edward was a shovel operator for the Copper pit.
At the age of 41, Beatrice became a widow and continued to work as the telephone operator while raising their daughter Beverly. Her mother, Clara also lived with Beatrice in Ruth, Nevada.
