In 1929, Raymon Evans was hired by the NNRy in the storehouse. He was recognized in 1949 for 20 years of service and a year later was promoted to Assistant Purchasing Agent. In 1958 he was assigned to a work sampling study in the RIP building where he was tasked to keep records of materials that had to be obtained from the storehouse and taken to the RIP to identify how to shorten work time. He retired in 1972 with 42 years of service.

Personal Biography:
Born to Harry and Laura Evans in Ridgecrest, California, the family moved to Ely and Raymond graduated from White Pine County High School in 1927 where he was active in sports and served on the yearbook staff. He then attended the University of Nevada. He married his first wife Florence and then his second wife Beulah. He had a son, Don, and two daughters Carrol and Sally.
