"Kennecott Concentrator and Mill Complex, McGill, Nevada - Nevada's largest single industrial unit. Construction was started on this huge complex in 1906. Over one billion dollars in mineral values have been processed through this mill. There is an eight square mile tailings pond below the concentrator and across U.S. Highway 93. No single photograph can do justice to the immense size of this complex. The concentrator exhaust stack on the left side of the picture is seven hundred and fifty feet high. The mill buildings are on the right. On the left fore ground is a railroad ore car that is up side down and was tipped off the tracks. It is raining in the background .It is snowing in the 11,000 foot mountains to the right and out of the picture."
