Simple shanty to provide protection from the elements.
Historic Use:
Used by the switchman stationed at the East Ely Junction for protection from the elements, originally had a coal stove.
Current Use:
Display and storage.
Construction Date:
circa 1920
Construction Method:
Simple wood frame structure with drop rustic exterior walls and a gable roof clad in standing-seam metal roofing resting on timber sills. Two windows on the east side, single entrance door in the west wall. A tall metal smokestack projects above the roof. Interior has a metal floor.
