Building Description:
The building was used by car inspectors checking cars coming down the hill on the bypass main line from the mines to the west. Various small car components used in car repairs and oil were kept within.
Historic Use:
Car inspector's office and oil house for the ore yard.
Current Use:
Preserved building.
Construction Date:
circa 1920s
Construction Method:
Small wooden building with a hip roof clad in standing seam metal with three tall cylindrical pipe stacks secured by guy wires on top. Features two doors, each with three horizontal panels on the south flaking a center window. A small "L" addition on the southeast corner with a small square window on the front.
