Building Description:
Construction began October 1913 and was completed January 1914 at a cost of $5,082.09. A small carpenter's shop was added to the building at an unknown point.

Coach repairs and shop where locomotives and cars were painted.

Construction Method:
Measuring 45 by 210 feet, the building sits on a concrete block perimeter foundation. Two tracks run nearly the full length of the building and there are two pairs of tall hinged doors. Windows are a mix of 44-light steel sash and 32-light steel sash. The carpenter shop addition features six-over-six double hung windows in wood sash and six-light fixed and casement windows. The building was enlarged during a rebuild sometime between 1923 and 1930.
Building Service Notes:
The paint shop received renovations by the museum to stabilize the building, provide modern lighting and concrete walkways.
