Building Description:
Small building used by the car inspector as an office.
Historic Use:
Used by car inspectors checking cars coming down the ore bypass from the mines enroute to the smelter at McGill. The building also had storage for journal oil and small car parts for minor repairs.
Current Use:
Storage and display.
Construction Date:
circa 1920s
Construction Method:
Simple wood frame building with a hip roof clad in standing-seam metal panels with three tall cylindrical pipe stacks secured by guy wires. Two three-horizontal panel doors on the south side of the building flanking a centered window. Small "L" addition at the southeast corner with small square window on the south side. The east end has horizontal siding with borders, the south side has vertical planks.
