Passenger Car Service Notes:
Originally built to plan 630A, lot 1541 for the Savannah, Florida & Western Railway as their #100. Purchased by the NNRy for $6,000 on June 30, 1906. Renumbered to #101 and named the "Ely," the second car to carry this name. Steel side sheathing and underframe added in 1928. One stateroom was finished in maple, one in oak, the observation room in weathered oak and the dining room in Mahogany. Richly furnished throughout, silk plush seat coverings and silk window drapes. Sold to the Gulf, Mobile & Ohio May 1947 and renumbered #10. Retired from the NNRy accounts June 6, 1948. Sold to the North American Car Corp. in 1957 and renamed "Noa." Refurbished and used by the president of NOA for a year long tour of the U.S. Donated to the Illinois Railway Museum in 1961 and placed on display.
