Building Description:
Electricity was a big part of the railroad from the very start. Electricians working in this shop maintained the telegraph, later telephone, and electrical lines and other equipment along the railroad. The building is divided into three offices, storage and work areas. Originally, a bedroom used by the watchmen was located here. This building has been practically untouched since Kennecott ceased operations in 1983. One room features antique rectifiers with glass globes and much of the original architecture and furnishings remain in the building.

Construction Method:
Originally a rectangular building, an office was added some time after 1923 giving it an L-shaped floor plan. It measures 50 feet long and 18 feet wide on the narrow end and 27 feet wide on the wide end. This addition is easily noticeable. The wood framed building rests on concrete piers and has a hip roof. The windows are four-over-four, double hung wood-sash.
